Responsible. A tough word to digest for those of us that has had an abortion. Many of us do not feel that we acted responsibly by having the abortion. That is true. We all faced a different set of circumstances – not the 'right time' to have a baby; not enough money; not enough support; not enough.... Did that make it right? Is there an excuse for our action that makes it just? No. Acknowledging that is actually part of the healing process. Accepting your action is one of the first steps. Admit what you did - do not excuse it. Then, with a repentive heart, begin the forgiveness process - from God & yourself.
The clock is ticking. This is when the kids really start to get excited. Christmas is within reach, less than a month to go. Remember that feeling when you were a kid? That is how Jesus feels, that excitement, when you give your life to Him.. He knows all of the unexpected packages that will bless your life. Give yourself the gift of everlasting life this Christmas! What do you have to lose?

Tis the season!! So why did I hear a woman yelling at the top of her lungs at a man who so allegedly "cut line" in a store this past weekend. Remember the reason we celebrate Christmas and respect the Holiday. Show others Jesus's light this season, not the light of our own selfishness.
Right, Wrong? We are always judging. The best news is, God does not. He forgives a repentful heart and never looks back. He already knew your final decision before the preganacy. He still loves you. He still wants you to be part of His family. Time to come home - God is not angry.
Find any turkey wish bones? I looked for one then I realized: wishes depend upon luck; hope & results depend on prayer. I threw away the wish bone. Who needs it when you have God?

Thanksgiving preparations are underway! Ever see a turkey coup? The turkeys all hundle together & follow each other around, even though they do not know where they are headed. When you accept Jesus into your heart, you will always know where you are headed. That's something to be thankful for!What are you most thankful for today?
Still punishing yourself for the decision you made to have an abortion? Why? If you accept the Lord into your heart, repent and change your heart - YOU ARE FORGIVEN! Not might be...Not maybe...Not possibly...YOU ARE!!! Now, the tough part is convincing yourself. Want proof - ask God - He will tell you...He loves you & nothing separates us from that Love! It's time. Start living your life again! There is only one November 19, 2007 - how will you spend yours?
Today is Saturday. That means tomorrow is Sunday. Plan on going to church? It could change your life! Stop whatever you are doing now, search for churches in your local community and plan on attending. What if you do not like it? Who cares? Next week, go to a different one. Chances are there are lots of churches to choose from in your town or city. Not the case. Drive to a different area. It is worth the drive to be lifted up every week & blessed by a church family. Keep searching. One Sunday, you will know when you find "the one". What have you got to lose? Better yet, what do you have to gain...peace, joy, comfort...experience any of those feelings lately? If not, go!
Want a way out of those feelings of guilt & shame. Who wants to carry all that baggage for the rest of your life? No one! Jesus does not want you to either. He wants us to know joy, peace, love, patience...those are the emotions of God. All the "junk" is stuff we self-impose. Get rid of the junk. Just ask and all our mistakes are not just forgiven - better than that - they are canceled. Forever. Remember what peace feels like? If not, it is time. Just ask!

Send the Holy Spirit to guide my thoughts and actions. I repent of all my sins and I ask for your forgiveness. Trust God. You may not "feel" forgiven but God's word is clear. You are! Say it over and over to yourself - every minute or hour if you need to.
When is the last time you played like a child plays? You know what I am talking about - when you forget about time, worries and problems. You are so into whatever you are doing, you forget about everything else. When you have the weight of the world on your shoulders, stop & pray. Then go find some joy. Do something fun. God wants us to be happy. Ask Him for the joy of a child!
Have you moved on yet? Did you work through the pain? It takes time but it is possible - it will happen if you want it to. Actually, it is necessary. You can not move on with your life until you are able to look back, understand your actions, ask for forgiveness from God, change your attitude (believe you are forgiven) and move into the joyful stage of your life. Miracles happen every day. You survived, right? For some of us, that is a miracle in itself. Go look for others. Don't continue to punish yourself. It's time.
God will always ask you to do something you can not do but He can!
Today is the only today we will ever have. Once this day passes, it is gone forever. Use your time wisely. Stop & hug the person you love. Be kind. Be generous. Be patient. Listen more than you talk. Enjoy this day. Have fun. Smile. Remember, it is the last one you will ever have!
Stop, Drop & roll. Remember that? It is taught in elementary school - take action if you are in a fire. What if you are in an emotional fire storm? Why not follow the same advice? Stop what ever you are doing, drop to your kness and roll up all of your emotional junk and give it to God. He is really the only source that can put out that type of fire! Think about it.
Feeling stressed today. Why? If you think you are beaten, you are. If you think you'll lose, you lost. The woman who wins is the woman who thinks she can! Find security in knowing Jesus. It is not tough. Just talk to Him, whereever you are, He is there. Do not be defeated. Today is a new day. Today is the day! Go for it! Change you life today - if you don't, who will?
God is so simple. He is easy to contact - just start talking! So, if you are having a day full of emotional junk that is throwing you off course, go to Him. Ask Him for help, peace, wisdom, guidance. He will not let you down.
HELP!!! Every feeling like screaming that? We all do on "those days". We all have them. When nothing goes the way you planned. Sometimes life is like that too - not the way we planned. How do we change it? My son often says, "Can we start the day over?" Sure, why not. Take a deep breath and think about what you want the day to look like. What do you want your life to look like? Write it down if you need to. What is the first step you need to take? Why not take it? How will either your day or your life change it you keep doing the same thing? Why not take a step today? If you need some help, ask! Ask a friend, family and the most powerful "person" in your life, God.
Remeber, we are never alone. 24/7, Jesus is with us. Just call out, whisper or even think of Him - He will show up. He will not let you down. We may not always understand the plan but trust in Him because He does.
You will always have the memory of your child - that lasts forever. The guilt and shame will go away. Remember, the well of peace is found in Jesus. Ask for forgiveness. Why spend another minute in pain?
Leaves change color in the Fall, every year. What a good time to think about changes you want to make in you. Some emotional junk you want to get rid of perhaps? What choice would you make if you were not afraid? Would your life be different? Don't let next Fall come around again in 2008 and find yourself in the same place. Grow. Today!
Phil 4:13 I can do all things through Jesus Christ who strengthens me. You can get through the pain you feel. It will get better. Believe and ask. Memorize Philipians 4:13 - it will help get you through it.

With the Fall season upon us, may we also "fall" too. Like the leaves on the trees, may all the guilt, shame, fear, regret...fall from our minds. A new season is upon us, turn over a new leaf! Let go of all the junk in your mind. Ever watch a leaf fly?

Lord, For those that are grieving, give them comfort. For those that are confused, offer them wisdom. For those that want to self-destruct their lives because of their abortion, send an angel to guide them back to You for forgiveness and more importantly, a fresh start. Grief allows us to work through our emotions of loss. It's OK to grieve for your unborn child. It will forever be a part of you. Take comfort in knowing the baby is in heaven now.
